MCU is once again ruling over Disney+ charts with Shang-Chi being the number movie on the platform and Hawkeye starting strong with Thanksgiving two-episode release. The series hits number one spot in 39 markets, barely missing it in another nine, landing the second position, usually behind, you guessed it, The almighty Simpsons. The yellow family seems to be returning like a bad coin after every successful Disney+ premiere.
Hawkeye takes place two years after the events of Avengers: Endgame. It is the fifth major MCU production on Disney+ this year, following WandaVision (January), The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (March), Loki (June), and What If…? (August). Next year we can expect at least six more, including Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and the second season of What If…?
