Last week we reported that Bridgerton Season 2 just about edged out the first season. Now we can see the final numbers after the last few days have been added into the 28-day window and the difference is slightly bigger – Season 2 was watched for 656.16 million hours, while Season 1 “only” got 625.49 million. Don’t expect any of that number to shatter in the upcoming months because even if Stranger Things Season 4 would be off to a great start, we will only get Part 1 which means four or five episodes. It would be hard to generate even Stranger Things Season 3 numbers (582 million hours) with just half the show.
Bridgerton Season 2 is still in the middle of the top ten, but the competition is there already with Anatomy of A Scandal clocking a respectable 75.56 million in its second week. There is however upset in the Non-English TV category, where we expected Elite Season 5 to have a good run. It is being “ruined” by The Marked Heart, a new Colombian telenovela about a man who has to watch his wife die and have her heart extracted to give to another woman. He’s out for revenge in the world of organ trafficking. It is currently number one globally on Netflix, leading the TV category in 40 countries. It is not only South American markets, but a chunk of Western Europe as well. It got 68 million hours during its first week and that is obviously just a start. Quite a surprising champion for Netflix, let’s see if The Marked Heart makes it into the All-time Top Ten for Non-English TV (we already have Café con aroma de Mujer: Season 1 there with 329.91 million hours).
