Squid Game was a phenomenon, able to gather 1.65 billion hours viewed in the first 28 days since the release. It is so far ahead of the competition (the first season of Bridgerton with 625 million hours and Money Heist Part 4 with 619 million) that it is hard to imagine anything getting close. And yet, All of Us Are Dead is on track to become just that, acquiring 361 million hours viewed in just 10 days.
Of course, there will be a significant drop-off in upcoming days and weeks, but zombie drama also has strong word of mouth on social networks, so it will continue to gather fans. Right now it is on track to get ahead of Bridgerton to become the second most-viewed TV show ever by the current Netflix ratings.
Another title from Netflix buzzing on social networks is the last week’s winner in the movie category. Tinder Swindler is a story about a guy posing as a wealthy, jet-setting diamond mogul, who is actually an Israeli conman wooing women online then conning them out of millions of dollars. Now some victims plan for payback. The intense true story got fans going online looking for answers. This sort of added value is good news for Netflix and its upcoming, similarly-themed show Inventing Anna (February 11th).
