Pan Petr Vok - ve skvělém podání Miloše Kopeckého - ožívá jako postava víceméně komická. Stárnoucí velmož se totiž musí před vlastní svatbou s krásnou Kateřinou postarat o svůj dvanáctičlenný fraucimor. Vlastně se ho zbavit. A jak to pan Vok zařídil, napovídá už sám název filmu...

Handsome Prince George arrives on board his ship in Japan. Youthful, immaculate in naval uniform and smiling broadly, he goes through the complicated formalities of being greeted by a host nation. The King of the Belgians is on a state visit in Istanbul when his country falls apart. He must return home at once to save his kingdom. But a solar storm causes airspace and communications to shut down. No planes. No phones. With the help of a British filmmaker and a troupe of Bulgarian folk singers, the King and his entourage manage to escape over the border. Incognito. Now seriously mentally ill after working with Clouseau for such a long time, Inspector Dreyfus escapes from the mental asylum he was being held in and vows to destroy Clouseau forever. He kidnaps an eminent scientist and forces him to build a machine capable of destroying the world, with the intention of doing so unless Clouseau is delivered to him.

That famous jewel, The Pink Panther, has once again been stolen and Inspector Clouseau is called in to catch the thief. The Inspector is convinced that The Phantom has returned and utilises all of his resources - himself and his oriental manservant - to reveal the true identity of The Phantom.

The story revolves around Bernard Fripp(Atkinson) who is wrongly diagnosed by his doctor (Hawthorne) as having only 24 hours to live. This sets Bernard bumbling off on a mission to live life to the full, pursuing Greta Scaachi around the town, trying to make peace with God (via the slowest vicar ever, Broadbent), listening to all his unheard favorite music (in Our Price), and asking Leslie Ash if she has time for some \love, or something?\.
