When 14-year-old Marco, a homeless gipsy boy, is arrested at the Danish boarder control for possession of a missing public servant's passport, police inspector Carl Morck and his Department Q team are tasked with finding the connection. The old case contains several suspicious elements: The public servant was accused of pedophilia shortly before he disappeared, and his case was closed unusually quickly. But the silent, traumatized Marco refuses to talk to them and it's not long before he's on the run from those who intend to kill him because of what he knows.

A group of friends meet for a dinner, and for fun start a party game where everyone must share everything that comes into their phones. Before long, the secrets spill out and threaten to spoil the most important thing of all, the 'hygge'.

The brand new and unsinkable rescue boat RF2 goes down on one of its first rescue missions in 1981, Hirtshals. 9 men died. Henrik, the son of the captain of RF2, starts an investigation as his father is set to blame for the accident. However, Henrik faces opposition from the townspeople, meanwhile grief threatens to tear Henrik's family apart. The film is inspired by true events.

In a moment of cowardice, Detective Carl Morck sends Rose, his junior colleague in Department Q, to the remote Danish island of Bornholm to answer his old colleague Christian Habersaat's repeated requests. But during his forced retirement ceremony Christian kills himself sending Rose into a journey deep into her own traumatic past. Later, Department Q are embroiled into an old cold case of a girl found dead hanging in a tree.

It follows a Copenhagen couple's new life at a West Jutland folk high school.
