Points for rankings are calculated based on the position in the chart.
Every day is the calculation updated for specific day, week, month and year.
Ranking points are not associated with the streaming platforms and they do not represent the actual numbers of viewings or sales. But they are always based on the popularity ranking coming directly from the streaming platforms - see the sources of every chart below.
Most charts are updated once a day from 1 AM UTC to 10 AM UTC, then checked and published around 11 AM UTC (noon). Netflix charts are updated twice a day, and fresh results are not available before 2 PM (afternoon) and not published before 3 PM. Times may vary when streaming service is not available or late with fresh results. Data may be updated after publication where fresh or corrected results are available.
Number of countries covered has been increasing over the time. Therefore newer titles can have more points than older titles. For selected charts we adjust points only for countries which have been covered since the start, but other charts this adjustment is not prepared and therefore must be taken in count that results can be limited. You can find in the History page when a specific country has been added.
